Dr Tejas M Patel is one of the best cardiologist in India known across the world for his ground breaking achievements in the field of interventional cardiology.
He is known for his pioneering work of coronary angiography and interventions with transradial technique which has made coronary interventions safe, accurate and has significantly decreased patient morbidity, mortality as well as duration of hospital stay from 3-5 days in the past to 24-36 hours.
His experience of over 1,00,000 cathlab procedures is the highest experience amongst any single operator in India and one of the highest in the world.
In 2018, he has pioneered Robotic Assisted PCI and has performed worlds first five telerobotic coronary interventions which has been published in one of the most reputed medical journal - The Lancet in 2019.
His team at AHI have also performed over 700 robotic assisted Percutaneous Coronary Interventions which is the highest experience worldwide. With over 99.8% success rate in coronary interventions including complex lesions like CTO (Chronic Total Occlusion), LMCA interventions as well as complex Bifurcation lesions he holds a very high safety record at par with international standards.
Apart from invasive cardiology work he also has special interest in medical research and has over 300 articles and publications in international journals.
